I am adding some more films to the list and using them as a possible change or alternative for the fall movies as well as keeping them open for spring.

A fairy tale about drug addiction in all its gritty glory and forms. Centers around a mom who struggles with diet pill addiction, and her son and his friends as they try to sell one last big score and get clean from heroine to live out their dreams and ultimately a better life.

The animated autobiography of an Iranian woman as she reaches young adulthood in Iran and France during the violent and bloody toppling of the Western planted and backed, corrupt Shah and the current harsh Fundamental Islamic regime.

Three Caucasion women from North America travel to circa 1970's Haiti as sex tourists, seeking out the comforts of a particular young Black male gigolo while oblivious to the volatile political climate. A film that looks at the exploitation of the West of third world countries in a very raw and controversial way.

A sad movie that gives you a slice of Japanese attitudes towards orphans, the immense human toll of war, and a real glimpse of humanity. A boy and his younger sister are orphaned by the violence of WWII. Their story, albeit fictional, is in tribute to the hardship of many unnamed orphans during and after WWII.

In a post-apocalyptic future where meet is hard to come by, a landlord feeds his cannibal tenants unlucky newcomers. A dark cult comedy.

A teenager who obsesses with death and suicide falls in love with a lively, eccentric 70 year old. An old film that really pushes boundaries by aking "how wide an age gap between two individuals is too wide when it comes to age and love?"

A South African woman, after contracting AIDS from her husband, must confront him and philandering ways, and survive long enough to see her daughter start school. Film is shot entirely in Zulu. Explores themes of our slowly decaying planet, struggle, hardship.
